Premier Travelgear was started by owner, Vijay
Melwani in Novemeber 2006. Vijay decided to open Premier Travelgear
because he saw a void for a good travel luggage store in the fort
lauderdale area. Vijay chose Galleria Mall of Fort Lauderdale because
of its reputation and close proximity to the famous Las Olas shopping
paradise and to Premier hotels like St. Regis, Hyatt Regency, Trump
hotel and condos (opening December 2007), Renaissance and Marriott
Resort and Spa to name a few.
Vijay Melwani started his career in the Luggage and Leather goods
industry in 2001. His first location, Discount Luggage Outlet located
in the famous Sawgrass Mills Mall, Sunrise, Florida was where it all
started, and today remains his most lucrative location. Vijay plans
on opening a very exclusive boutique store, his third, also in the
Galleria Mall of Fort Lauderdale, slated to open by December 15th
2007. Premier Travelgear prides itself in providing excellent
